What's in a name?
A name says a lot about an organisation.
When choosing to start a new business, selecting a name can be time-consuming and completely agonising.
When we formed the company, we knew exactly what we wanted it to be. We knew what it's purpose, mission and vision was. We just didn't have that catchy name - so we went with Nordin Baker Consulting!
Pretty quickly it became clear that this was going to be too vague. What is a "consultancy" anyway? I mean sure, the dictionary definition of a consultancy is, "a professional practice that gives expert advice within a particular field." Sure, we do that. We're educators and we're pretty expert about it! But we wanted to be more than just another "consultancy."
It was a question from our accountant that finally showed us the light. They asked us, "what do you do, anyway?!" The obvious answer was - education and training. We develop people using the growth mindset model and we want to be as inclusive as possible.
Hence the revamped name - Nordin Baker Education & Training. It does exactly what it says on the tin!
